I started esketamine (Spravato) treatments a couple of months ago and quickly realized how brutal the overhead clinic lights are when you’re supposed to be lying still with your eyes closed for an hour. Even standard eye masks let light leak in from the sides and nose area, which was seriously distracting and made the sessions feel longer than they needed to be.
The Manta weighted sleep mask has been an absolute game-changer. The individual eye cups are deep enough that there’s zero pressure on my eyelids or lashes, but the gentle weight (and the fact that it completely molds to my face) blocks 100% of the light – no gaps, no nose leak, nothing. It’s also super comfortable for side-sleepers and stays put without any tight straps digging in. Easy to wipe clean too, which is nice in a clinical setting.
If you’re doing Spravato, ketamine infusions, or any treatment where you have to keep your eyes closed under bright lights, do yourself a favor and get this mask. It went from something I “kind of needed” to something I now refuse to do a session without. Worth every penny.
